Their sponsor is Mr. John Hawthorn. The staff publishes the Inside Classen, which is a news media about the students, and the student directory, in addition to the Classen Life. The staff also spon- sors the Man of Distinction contest as well as the tal- ent assembly. The talent assembly is for the purpose of introducing new talent to Classen. The Classen Life adds a great deal to the student's busy life with its accurate reporting of top school events. s These three staff members are making an attempt to reach a deadline. Row I: R. The clinic staff the clinic aides is the keeping of the record sheet. The clinic is confronted with many crises daily. These range from aides are taught simple first aid procedures for use in an hangnails to headaches, bruises to broken bones, and sun- emergency. Handling details are Marti Rupe, Janette Cobb, Judy Chechovsky, Lynda Glidewell, Lida Leith, and Mrs. Tilsner, The ORBIT staff is composed of juniors and seniors who are attempting to compile a history of the school year through the ORBIT. Planning of the yearbook begins early in the summer. The content of the book is planned by the editor, who assigns sections to the staff members. Students in the class participate in two assemblies annually and conduct the ORBIT queen election. They assist with sales drives, distribution of year- books, and picture-taking projects. Some students attend the OIPA meeting in the fall during which the results of the yearbook judging are announced. Deadline . . . Orbit These staff members pose with receipt books during one of the ORBIT sales drives. They are Doris Perry, Charisse Beeson, Trudy Bhnn Mary Minden, Jim Kudlacek, and Robert Lilley.
