MR. J. GARWIN FLEMING was graduated from Okla- homa State University and holds a Master's Degree from that university. He has endeared himself to the student body, and to the staff and patrons of Classen High School by his kind- ness and understanding. No problem is too small or too great to be taken to him for counsel and assistance. His many good qualities make us. the student body, respect and love him. MR. AD ACERS is completing his third year as vice principal of Classen High School. He is a graduate of Oklahoma City University and received a Master of Music Education Degree from that university. Mr. Acers handles attendance records and discipline problems along with numerous other responsibilities in an effort to keep the school operating smoothly and efficiently. The Board ofEducation, headed by Dr. Jack F. Parker is dedicated to raising the standards of education through- out the city school system. The Board provides assistance for teachers through work shops and other specialprograms. Members make all ma jor decisions and strive constantly to improve educational methods and procedures. Dr. Parker is serving his first year as Superintendent of Schools. Heis one of the youngest men in the country to hold such a responsible position.

They not only give the student suggestions and advice during theschool year, but they help hirri plan his college or business career according to his capabilities. COMET BROWSE, REPOSE Classen is fortunate in having Miss Unferth as librarian. Many Classenites have been helped through the kind and courteous aid offered by Miss Unferth and her assistants. Our library is a pleasant place to study as the newly-installed air- conditioning units offer the student a cool, comfortable retreat from the hustling crowds in the halls and rooms. The library has been further improved this year by the addition ofa fine collection of paintings representing King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. Miss Unferth is aided by Miss Amy Sparks and a staff of student librarians. Mrs. Greer and her aides maintain the clinic for the use of any student or teacher who is ill. Professional assistanceis often required during the school day, and Mrs. Greer is always ready to give that assistance.
