HOLDING THE ATTENTION of a group of seventh graders is no easy chore, but Mrs. Wooten has the situation well in hand. These eager beavers are learning all about seventh grade arithmetic. The upper classmen should follow their example. SOMEHOW THIS PICTURE just doesn't get across the idea that was intended. Ray Organ, Tom Rowles, and James Crosby, the boy with the headache, are supposedly listening to an explanation ot a trig problem which may prove to be difficult. PERFECT VIEW of a collegiate looking young man. K. Roy Jones and his slide rule which is attached to his side catch many glances from Classen students. A good percentage of jobs now require some practical understanding of science. With the advancement of satellites, mis- siles, and atomic power, we are in need of more scientists to invent better rockets and perhaps even one that will carry a human to the n'ioon.
