THE CHORUS, under the direction of Mr. John Holt, has performed in many assemblies as a group. Also the junior and senior high trios have performed in various other programs. Each year choirs from all Oklahoma schools may attend a clinic in Stillwater for combining and improving choirs. This year about sixty Classen students went by bus to the clinic. They left excitedly at 7:30 and returned around 11:00 worn out from hours of trying rehearsals. The latter part of this year prepara- tion for the citywide spring concert caused students to miss school for two days. These trips and others similar to them are typical of the choir's yearly activities. Practice for future chorus groups starts with the junior high vocal groups. Their years' work should not be overlooked. They participated in choir festivals, and entertained with other junior high choruses in City-wide concerts. Although they have not had much publicity they have become more experienced and will therefore furnish experienced members for the senior high choir when they enter the ninth grade.
