Qoocl feczclersfnp RUNNING A HIGH SCHOOL is not easyg it is a job that requires a lot of behind the scenes activity by a lot of people, plus time and money. Among the people who are necessary to the operation of a school like Classen are the superintendent of school and his staff, the assistant superintendent and his staff, the school board, pupil service, the principal and the vice-prin- cipal, teachers, custodial staff, and the cafeteria staff. These are the people who come to work early and leave late so that students can come in five minutes after the final bell rings and keep three people busy checking their excuses and rewriting the rules to fit their special cases. Vile in the Okla- homa City school system have just completed a seven year period of rapid expansion and re-organization under the super- vision of Dr. Swanson who is completing his last year here. Next year the schools will open under new direction, but the opening will merely serve to emphasize the summer of planning and work by the people pictured on these pages. MR.
