Uoolloogo of Tomorrow When the HOME OF THE COMET had spon- sored some l5,000 graduates in a third of a century, its walls began to bulge. Crowding 2,000 teen-agers into quarters designed for half that number produced unabatable agon- ies. In the midst of attempts at wall-stretching and tier upon tier arrangement of students, a man, devoted to the cause of boys and girls, be- came charged with an ambition that would not be denied. T Years cglrk in pubEschooIs iiiained his faith in youth's promise to the future. Cour- ageously he let his dream take form. ln Sep- tember, '55 Classen will adjourn in a new build- ing,-lasting monument to its dreamer,- WlLLlAM HENRY TAYLOR. A tribute to his will to achieve for the class of l956, and all future classes, added facilities for developing character, happiness and suc- cess to thousands who shall rally to THE CALL OF THE COMET. Achievements of alumni, who ever hold her banners high, CHALLENGE CLASSENITES OF TOMORROW. To all who have made Classen great, and to the class of l955, especially, last to tread these beloved halls, this ORBIT is in- scribed. May it perpetuate cherished memories, treasure friendships, commemorate honors won for theCGLORY OF CLASSEN and do honor to all who have devoted their time and talent. COME COMETS, let's catch the torch! I t's ours to have and hold on high, Keep bright its stars, Keep blue its sky, Keep gold its right to never die. Will it be the same? Will the halls ring with the din of morning greetings? Will old traditions fall into meaning- lessness? These are undoubtedly some of the questions Classen seniors ask themselves as they see New Classen assum- ing form of a model with which they have become familiar in the auditorium foyer. These questions can be answered only through experience. The order changeth. New situations stimulate new responses. Opportunity is likewise responsibility. Achieve- ments stir us to progress. We are an atomic propelled generation. The fuel in our tanks is time.
