HELEN .Y T RA U CH Meteor Queen Meteor Pep Club elected Helen Strauch queen for 1953-54. Results of this election, which is a club actvity, were announced at the annual Meteor Christmas dance. Helen's co-candidates were Jane Fellingham, Marsha Huffman, Debor- ah Ireland, and Janyce Shorbe. President Jerry Karam presented Helen a white jacket inscribed with her name, title, and the club's insignia. An orchid, the blue and gold paddle, and the customary kiss concluded the installation ceremony. ,271

EARNIE WOT RING and CAROL SA ULSBERR Y Prince and Princess of Friendybqb Climaxing a week of emphasis on friendliness was the coronation of Ear- nie Wotring and Carol Saulsberry as Prince and Princess of Friendship. Hi cards and smile signs improved the atmosphere, and really made Friendship week a success. Candidates for Prince and Princess are nominated in advisories and fi- nalists are elected on a basis of friendliness alone. Other candidates for Prin- cess were Myralin Gallaspy, Deborah Ireland, Joyce Kirchner, and Donna Lawrence. Candidates for Prince were Rene Crothers, Phil Easlon, Bob Howell, and Joe Jones. N280
