Ana Speak Me 7 language With Spanish speaking neighbors to the south, and distances to other countries shortened by air travel, we found an increasing value in the study of languages. Th.-n, too, it was fun to chatter with our friends. We were able to choose Spanish, French, Latin, or German- and some of us studied more than one language. Oral and written use of foreign languages illustrat- ed by films and recordings, gave us an appreciation and under- standing of other peoples and cul- tures. This back- ground proved helpful in the interpretation of current happenings. In addition to World History, American History, and English History, we could choose from such allied courses as Latin American History, Bible History, International Re- lations, Social Problems, Psy- chology, Economics, Government, and Occupations.
