UEUIEATIU WE, OF THE 1947 ORBIT STAFF, dedicate am yearbook to Mr. Charles E. Grady, alfectionately known to thousands as Pop Grady, who during his twenty-three years as teacher, debate coach, and vice-principal at Classen has played a vital role in the progress of our school. Mr. Grady's belief that intellectual discipline is not enough, but that social, emotional, and moral discipline are also essential elements in the well-rounded educational program, has provided skillful and understanding guidance, and has set for us a challenging example of adulthood. Since Classen Senior High School opened its doors in 1922, Mr. Grady has had the same enthusiasm, the same interest in young people, and the same fervent belief that speech education is one of the outstanding factors in training for leadership. When Pop Grady assumes his county-wide duties in Iuly, as Superintendent of Schools for Oklahoma County, he will continue his endeavor to give every boy and girl an opportunity to acquire the well-rounded growth which makes human progress possible. ll'
