Bruner, has been responsible for a notetl change in the school system. Under his rlirection, extensive survevs have been niatle to tie- terinine the arlequacs' of present schoolibuiltlings antl equipment. New buildings are being constructecl, while oltl builtlings are being repaireil anti iniprovetl. Progressive trends are also being followed in regard to teachers anti pupils. Dr. Bruiier, who is eager for substantial increases in teachers' salaries. has achieveil inuch, anti is striving constantly lor better salaries as well as higher stantlartls in the teaching profession. One of Dr. l5runer's favorite projects is the Inter-Citi' Stiirlent Council which is inatle up of representatives from each highschool in Oklalionia City. Principal Highly esteemed by both students and faculty, as a proficient administrator and an able counselor, Mr. W. H. Taylor has served as principal of Classen for the past four years. His sincere interest in the school has meant progress and recognition for Classen in all scholastic and extra-curricular activities. Under his direction new courses, including radio, pre-flight, distributive education, creative writing, and combined English-history courses have been formed with the purpose of equipping the student with knowledge which he may use all through his life as a supplement to his academic studies. lvlr. Taylor has also been influential in the installation of an interfcommnnication system in the school, the Hrst of its kind in the city. Student government has been developed under his guidance, and has become an integral Part in the life of Classen. .F . 'Winam- ME Terminating a twentyfthree Year star' at Classen where he has served as teacher, debate-coach, and vice-Principal, lklr, Charles E. Grads' has resigned from this position to become Superintendent of Schools for Oklahoma County. He leaves behind him a great number of students who are indebted to him for their outloolt on life as well as their scholastic and extra-curricular records.
