'-Siatafofzffaczq Each year Cklahoma City students, chosen by the various schools, take over the city and school offices for one day. During Father and Son week, which is also National Education week, these chosen ones reign supreme for one dav. Classen pupils filled four major city offices and four administrative positions. Ierry Potter, upper right, was head custodian and members of the football team helped him carry out his duties. Dick Gibhens and Charles Schramecla, in the next picture, served as president of the school hoard and city engineer. Lois Woodaird, lower right, had charge of thc clinic and because of all the male visitors, she had to take some of her own medicine. Grinning in the middle, below, is Kelly Vxlest, who filled hlr. Sturnfs shoes as principal for :x dai: The problems of a director of secondary education were thoroughly discovered by Ruth lane Long when she filled that position during the week of November 8-I4. Runners-up who served as attendants were lean Geatches, lack Nicholsong Doro- thy Gore, Iohn Denmang Norvetta Wliite, Danny Kozakg Lois Woodard and Curtis Harris. if The Victory King and Queen contest was a new idea introduced to Classen this year to push the sale of War Bonds and Stamps. Nominations were made throu h ever 551.00 urchase of 3 Y P stamps. A novelty booth was donated by the State Theater to handle sales. Each ten cent stamp counted one vote and each twenty-fivestamp counted three votes. Approximately 351750 worth of stamps and bonds were sold during the two weeks of the contest. fs X W are -L 1. This club arranged interviews for budclin 'ournalists and members were admitted to concerts on their l press cards.
