The encouragement and advice given during these adolescent years have often been the deciding factor between mediocrity and outstanding achievement in later years. The Classen faculty has endeavored to change its study material to meet the present-day need and many new classes have been formed to aid this effort. Many teachers have had to take extra hours in advanced study to Properly Prepare themselves to teach new war-time courses. We, the students of Classen, are sincerely grateful for the time they have sacrificed and wish to express our appreciation for this interest in our welfare. We will carry the benefits accrued with us for many years to come. MR. CARROLL SMELSER S I Q
