Sturm's family of four children have been claimed by Classen pep clubsg Nicky, the oldest, by the Blue jackets, Susie by the Comes, Eddie by the Hell Hounds, and Mr. Sturm himself also by the Hell Hounds. Another unclaimed mascot arrived December 7. l-le's Iohn Christopher, the latest of the Sturm clan. Being one of the youngest highschool principals in the nation, Mr. Sturm came to Classen this year after five years at Harding. Before that he taught journalism here, sponsoring the Orbit and Classen Life, besides coaching the B football squad and sponsoring the Blue Iackets. Crashing precedent when he thought the old methods could be improved, N112 Sturm has brought about many new customs that have won the whole-hearted approval of the student body. lfleii: lpriiicipcils flare iwelcoifif-zeal This Year Wm- Conscientious in all his decisions is the perfect description of lvlr. Gilbert L. Robinson who came to Classen last fall to serve as vice-principal. The news of his appointment brought considerable pleasure to the many students who had worked under lX4r. Robinson before at Taft junior high, for they all knew his capacities for being just and considerate in his duties of handling the problems of attendance and attitude at Classen. N112 Robinsons family consists of a son, Bob, who is in the ninth grade at Taft, and a daughter, Katherine Ann, in the fifth grade at Linwood grade school. I He has run the gamut of educational positions beginning by teaching history at VVaurika, then was principal of the elementary and junior high- school at Dundee, Olcla., and later was Superintendent of Schools at Paden, Oltla. After being transferred to Qltlahoma City, Mi'. Robinson taught at Harding junior high for three years and taught social studies in addition to his administrative duties during his four years at Taft.
