As is customary, the school leaders are members of the senior class. V. V. Harris, president of the school, finished the year as an outstanding figure in all school activities, being prominent in the student governing bodies, dramatics, club work, and oratory. At the end of the first semester Louise Garrett graduated, leaving her position as editor-in-chief of the Classen Life to Phil Fry. The business manager was Ray Anf thony. Louise Donart headed the Senior Book staff and Howard Nicholson acted as business manager. In music, drama, and debate, George Chase, jack Dysart, and George Barbour have become Well known. Mary Elizabeth Rixey earned the leading part in the operetta, The Magic Makerv and Eleanor Naylor had the lead in' the senior play, i'The Lion and The Mouse . Arthur Harrison and Mary Cowan have been leaders in many school affairs. Prominent in the athletic field are Vincent Maloney, football captain, for 19305 and Paul Mayo and Tom Merrick, co-captains of the basketball team. Others who have become well known are T. Ray Phillips, Clyde Dinger, Charlie Mannott, Hester Patter- son, Francis Cobb, and jimmy Cochran. These names mentioned represent only a very small part of the largest Senior Class ever to graduate from Classen.
