President Secretary Treasurer The senior graduating class of 1929 leaves behind it a record of remarkable achieve- ment wl1ich extends over the period of its three high school years. Though many new members have been added to the class during this time, the majority of the students have traveled the three-year course together. As iscustomary, the school leaders are members of the senior class. Lawrence Klein, president of the school, finished the year as an outstanding figure in all school activities, being prominent in the student governing bodies, dramatics and debate, and in club work. Clarence Asher, held the position of editor-in-chief on the Classen Life staff, with Howard Anderson as business manager. Betty LeCompte, headed the Orbit staff of 1929 and Norman Anderson acted as business manager. In music, drama, and debate, Eugene Rector, Fay Lee McCall, and Jack Murphy have become well known. Mozelle Britton and Richard Buchanan have taken an active part in Classen affairs. June Hannum took the leading part in the operetta, The Crimson Star, and Kaye Johnna Thomas had the lead in the senior play, Seven Qhancesf' Prominent in the athletic field are: Ryland Milner, football captain of 1929, Andy Beck. captain of the basketball team: Charlie Davis, holder of the State championship in tennis singles: and Jack Stout, captain of the swimming team. A large percentage of the class plan to continue their education in the state colleges and universities. Others have contracted positions that they will take immediately after graduation.
