Remember our freshman year, 1947-48? We were completely bewildered! The strange awe of students hurrying through the halls, the thrill of changing classes, and the ever hard-boiled (our first impression) teachers were not to our liking . Although we didn ' t haveas manyprivi- legesas the upper-classmen, wedid getaway with a lot. Even as freshmen we did have a little social life. There was a Christmas party at E leanor ' s when the boys sat on one side of the room and the girls on the other. 12
