MR RAYMOND RCBERTS He is the very model of a teacher who is dear to us, Thru his efforts and good humor, he has made his subiects clear to us, He's very well acquainted with all matters mathematical, He understands equations, both the simple and quadratical. About binomial theorems he's teeming with news. And has many cheerful facts about the square of the hypotenuse. His patience and kindness have helped us thru our high school years, May the halls of Clarkstown ever echo with ourlthanks and cheers. OAKES, MR. DEANE, MR. HESSION XLI ' ll The most exciting thing that happened in the world of sports, as for as Clarkstown is concerned, this year is the new football team. Flashes of purple and gold were seen dashing and dart- ing to and fro in the scrimmages played by the team. The boys looked really handsome in the new purple and gold uniforms. Tiresome, and sometimes a little painful were the practice ses- sions coached patiently by Mr. Oakes, Mr. Deane and Mr. Hes- sion. The boys on the team learned how to tackle, block, pass and most important, they learned how to score. Our new school certainly has given the team the wonder- ful opportunity of being able to play on a huge, new field. The spectators thrilled to see the scrimmages well played and our football team looks as if in the future Clarkstown will also be able to boast a football championship! 1-r 1 UH IIE gina: poor R fi trggch scam Xxx- W Dfw. for F i x f Cs-,dard I0 H Y X Costly to Club lag 1, org,- --tegg hid i . ! O. this year has lived up to its name, Gen- eral Organization valiantly! It has given to the individ- ual student a feeling of real belonging, which is most important tor the school's spirit and the student. A very popular Welcome Dance started the year off, sponsored by the G. O. Here, the old Clarkstown- ers met the new students and found it most handy having the store just a short walk downstairs. Sparkling clean was our school after the G. Ofs Clean Up Campaign! Each homeroom took part in this activity. Much school spirit was incited because ot this campaign, for it brought girls and boys together, work- ing for a common cause. STUDENT COUNCIL A new social plan originated in our school this year, thanks to the G. O. It was the exchange student pro- gram. From Turkey came a boy who visited our school and helped us understand more about life in his native country. Certainly this was very informative for students and teachers alike. Among these previous things done by our extraor- dinary G. O. was the revising of the school Constitu- tion, the G. O. Workshop and the choosing ofa new Miss G. O. The representatives did an accurate iob in reporting, the President executed strong leadership, and the stu- dents followed and helped willingly in all matters.
