The assembly Friday afternoon had no effect on what was to be the outcome of the game on Saturday. The tug-of-war results were: the Seniors winning the first and the Juniors taking the next two. The early morning rain left the field muddy and slick. All of the players arrived early for stretching and last minute pep-talks by the coaches. With some anxiety the Juniors went to their side of the field as their offense got ready to face the Seniors. Finally the game began, at 10:00, with the anxious Juniors getting control of the ball. The Juniors moved the ball somewhat, but the Seniors moved it more — much more. By the end of the game, the scoreboard read Seniors: 36, and the Juniors: 6. Scoring for the Seniors were: Alysa Gettig, Jennifer Farough, Kelly Cruz, Patti Haddad, and Dana Hocking. Scoring the touchdown for the Juniors was Tracy Roek. Despite the Juniors effort to score, they just couldn’t get past the tough Senior defense. The Junior coaches were Bill Curtis, Jim Smith, and Ed Bower.
