For these are the students responsible for planning and running many of the activities we often take for granted. To mention just a sample of the events sponsored by Student Government, we must include the Volleyball Marathon, Homecoming Olympics and Winter Field Day, the CHS Blood Drives, 3-D movies, and the annual Variety Show. Some of the funds raised by these activities were donated to such important causes as SCAMP and the B.J. AWARD The recipient of this year’s Daughters of the American Revolution Award was Julie LePere. This award is a genuine honor. To be considered, a young lady must be recommended by the high school administration. She is evaluated on basis of her school and community involvement and overall personal character. Julie was certainly deserving of the award. She was Captain of the Varsity Volleyball team and played Varsity Tenn. She performed as a Madi-gral singer and participated in this year’s Junior Miss contest. Julie was voted “Class Friend by the Senior Class. After graduation, Julie will attend Oakland University where we are confident she will continue her success. 185 SPANISH CLUB SITTING: Mrs. Addis, Barb Kevern. Mr. LaMagna’s Co-op students obtained employment in local industry where they used their trade skills in jobs as draftsmen, in machine shops, and in auto mechanics type positions.
