She was in The King and I, M A S H, Pinno-chio, Annie Get Your Gun, Carousel, and the Drama Club Vice-President. Leslie was also picked as Clark-ston’s Jr. Miss. Her hobbies include guitar, skiing, and church folk masses. After graduation Leslie plans to attend Michigan State University and major in Pre-med in hopes of being a pediatrition. In her spare time she would like to travel, venture further into music, and be happy. 4 c o - o Again this year, Mrs. Reeves was the director of the co-op in Clark-ston High School. This is a program which incorporates on-the-job training and regular classes for students in their junior or senior year. They receive pay as well as credit for their work. Many of the co-op students this year were employed as either architectural or mechanical draftsmen. 1. Paul Biondi takes a break from his drawing for the camera. 2. One mechanical draftsman, Dave Brown, manipulates a traingle on his board. 3. Brian Bennett looks over his drawing to make sure his dimensions are correct. When it comes to revealing the news of Clarkston Sr. High, the Journalism class knows where it’s at in CHS. The teacher of the class, Mrs. Denstaedt, makes sure they reach their deadline and does an excellent job of supervising the students. The sunrise which is the name of the newspaper is not an editorialized newsheet, but it tells of the fun and goings on in Clarkston High. 96 JOURNALISM C The Film Club is made up of students in Mr. Genshaw s media class. This class is designed to teach the students how to use various media equipment. They film and videotape sporting events, plus run the sound system for the Drama department. Their main purpose is to raise money so that they can buy such items as developing chemicals, darkroom supplies, and film. Every Wednesday for about four months they go to Pine Knob Resort and schuss to their hearts desire. Unfortunately there was not a great deal of the white stuff; however, The Knob” can make its own snow so it was not a total loss. Many of the skiers go on more days than Wednesday, and they might be good for the ski team next year. Back Row: Coach Mrs. Teare, Janet Zografos, Cindy Harned, Diane Pfahlert, Brenda Rexford, Pam Forsyth, Angela Balzarini. 6 The J.V. Team started their season with a loss to a very strong Fenton Team. However, they bounced right back and won three games in succession before another loss. The overall record for this year’s squad was 6-13. A few of the losses were close as in the Milford game at home where Clarkston lost in overtime. The girls improved throughout the season and ended the season with a league win against Rochester. High scores for the season was Jeanne Herron. Jeanne was voted Most Valuable Player” by her teammates. High Rebounder was Cindy Harned. Most spirited was Diane Pfahtt and Most Improved was Melissa Savas. 8 F O O T B A L L Nearly every year the Junior Varsity Football squad performs well on the field; this season was no exception. The team had an excellent record, winning the G.O.A.L. and doing very well against non-league teams. It was Mr. Richardson’s second year coaching. 166 CHS 6 Grand Blanc OPP 30 26 Lamphere 6 18 Rochester 0 30 Andover 6 27 Rochester Adams 6 30 West Bloomfield 12 21 Milford 14 35 Kettering 15 25 Brighton 14 1. Another new format was that the squad consisted of five sophomores. Most of these sophomores were on the starting team and usually led the team scoring. The remainder of the team was made up of three juniors and two seniors, all of which performed with finesse. Overall, the varsity squad executed their offensive and defensive maneuvers with almost flawless ability. Front Row: Tracee Antos and Mary Barks.
