The team, consisting of 15 returning Seniors and many more juniors, gladly accepted this challenge and had all the intensity necessary to reach the playoffs. An experienced Coach Stringer and staff pro ved that the 1984 Angoras were a persistent team that kept pushing to achieve a victory. The Angoras unity and dedication deHnitely showed through with their performances. Boasting of a strong de- fense and a well balanced offense, Clarkston had an exciting season. The Angoras had many outstanding players recognized by the press, Senior Stephen Harmon, a very versatile ath- lete, received overwhelming reviews from the local newspa- per and also the Defensive Player of The Week. Seniors Allen McDowell and Robbie McManama received Honor- able Mentions for defense. Uther outstanding Angoras that con tributed an extra effort this season were 3 year starters Kevin Reach at quarterback and Craig Benzinger at tackle. eniors! No one can appreciate them un til they become one! Then one realizes what it is like to he the oldest, the most experienced Superior. After four long years, one might think hat Seniors are just burnt out, but not these Sen- The Class of '85 carried on the Clarkston tradition with so much enthusiasm and spirit that nothing could slow them down. These Seniors strived for excellence and set shining examples for those who will one day fill their shoes. Congratula- tions Class of '85, you deserve it!
