,MISS 63.5. Miss dongsninlitn Sally Hows!! On the evening of February 4th, the darkened Clarkston cafetorium was filled with an impatient audience Who had arrived early for the best sea ts. Backstage thirty-four young' ladies poised themselves in an- ticipation for the Wonderful evening to come. Good even- ing, ladies and gentlemen 'Q rang the voice of Jimmy Jack- son, the emcee for the Miss CHS Pageant. The girls who ze miss ans. 14,4611 LJNGLQ9 ls! Knnnsr lip - Debbie Wnits participated were selected by various clubs and organizations to be their repre- sentatives. On Wednesday, January 23rd a preliminary tea was held in which thir- ty-four contestants were presented. The ten semi-Hnalists performed their talents again and the variety included song, dance, piano pieces, and an interpretation of a poem. From the ten, five finalists were chosen. They were Leslie Lee, Katy Lingle, Stephanie Wilkerson, Debbie Mast Gzlsnisd Stephanie Wilkerson White, and Bianca Williams. Each girl was then asked a question arrived at by the judges. This enabled the judges one last look at the girls before the Hnal decision was made.
