ARSITY SOCCER raditionally the Lady An- goras have had successful seasons and this year was no exception. The team was coached by Mike Coulter, a for- mer all-American and semi-pro- fessional player. After losing six starters, major rebuilding was needed. Reconstruction, howev- er, was not as tough as predicted. Although the team was very young, consisting of no seniors, the girls were eager to learn. Coulter's determination, as well as his faith in the team soon paid off The team is possessed with an abundance of talent. The core of the team evolves around the strong sophomore class. Return- ing starters Edna Wilson and Pam Silcox controlling the mid- Held, Julie Terry along with ju- nior Andrea Taylor lead the of- fensive attack. The defense is lead by junior Laura Kolb, and returning keeper Julie Shulte. The dual combination of Culter's background and the teams intu- ition made the view of the up coming season a little brighter. The prominent obstacles of the season were as usual: matches against Redan and Stone Mtn. These two rivals left the Angoras with an 8-2 record last year. Clarkston varsity girls can look forward to a victorious season in the future, thanks to Mike Coulter and his ambitious young girls. SKILLS KILL
