VARSITY WRESTLING akedown . . . reversal . . . Sat- urday night ride . . . near fall . . . mmmph!!! PIlW!! No guts, no glory . . . no pain, no gain . . . Coach Chonko ran a tight ship with his Wrestlers this 84-85 season. Each Wrestler had to endure stren- uous, muscle Wrenching practices and exercise complete dedication to be the best Wrestler he could be. Concentration and dedication was the name of the game for these Wrestlers, a game in which each ounce counts. Passing up ice cream bars and buttered rolls at lunch was everything but easy for these guys, but they did what they had to do to make weight right down to the ounce. Obviously guts, pain, dedication, and concentration resulted in glory for certain outstanding athletes this '84-'85 season. Last years area place Winners Kenny Jones, Craig Benzinger, Tommy Roche, Wen- dell Lewis, Randy Sisk, Brandon Baynes, and Reeves Stribling proved themselves once again to be superior athletes. These Clarkston Wrestlers competed at meets against highschools from around the county. Each year Clarkston puts forth an extra effort at the County and region tournaments. Clarkston also hosted the county tournament one weekend in Janu- ary in which wrestlers from all over the county come to compete. ,tar 5 is A

They may have been small, but they proved to be mighty.
