This need gave birth to an organization which now functions under the name of the Board of Governors. The Board, by its supervision and enforcement of the rules and regulations of the Engineering Assembly, and by its sponsorship of the various underclassmen activi- ties, such as the Push-Ball Contest and the Tug-of-War, has become known as the custodian of traditions at Clarkson.
