There were 33 enrolled in our Freshman year, but there were only 27 at the close of the year. Our teachers were Miss Rollins, Mrs. J. Ross Nckinney, Mr. and Mrs. Grissom, and 5 Mrs. Wilma Spencer. With Miss Rollins as our sponsor we enjoyed a picnic at Natchez Trace State Park at the end of the year. During our second year we could see the mistakes that we had made the previous year. We entered with 27 enrolled as Silly Sophs. Our faculty con- sisted of W. C. Beers, principal, Mrs. J. Ross Mckinney, Mrs. Dinwiddie, and J. O. Forbes. We took a sight-seeing tour to Memphis, visiting the zoo, Pink Palace, and other places. At the end of school there were 23 left. We entered C. H. S. as Jolly Juniors with only one year left to go. ThiS year we gained two new teachers. The faculty consisted of Mr. Beers, Mrs. J. Ross Mckinney, Mr. Forbes, and Mr. and Mrs. Therrell. This was a year of work for us as we had to get ready for our Junior-Senior Banquet. We made our own memory books and place cards and prepared our menu with the help of our sponsor, the sophomores, and Freshmen. We had a wonderful time on this April 8, even though the Seniors were finishing. Of course we hated to lose them, i but we were looking forward to the next year at this occasion. 1 On July 12, l9h8, there were only 18 left as we entered school. Like all Seniors we felt proud. Our teachers were Mr. Forbes, Mrs. Thompson, Mrs. F McKinney, and Mr. and Mrs. Therrell. Early in the year we chose Mrs. Therrell l as our sponsor. She has guided us safely thus far, and we are looking forward to a successful commencement.
