Shawn Evers Kelly Neel Mike Dittmer Sarah Clements ... SENIORS 9 It doesn’t matter where they are or what they are doing, the seniors are always breaking something: break- ing out, breaking rules, breaking ties, breaking apron strings, and breaking the bank! Through the middle of a college application and finacial aid form hur- ricane, the seniors can be found with big smiles on their faces. Sometimes they’re actually breaking up with laughter as memories of the great times they’ve shared fill their minds. Seniors are also known for break- ing the rules as often as they can. Luckily, their most serious offenses are taking juice outside the multi-purpose room, sleeping in the hall during lunch break, and making calls to Oconto, NE to sell some imaginary land. Later in the year, plans are made for the future and goals are set as a cer- tain amount of maturity, and more of a sense of being an individual sets in. At this time the students begin the gentle breaking of ties between class- mates as busy preparations are made for tomorrow. There is also a big affect on the breaking of apron strings, that only a year or so ago kept them home on weekends. The biggest breaking of all happens to the senior’s expense ac- count. It is a direct result of the seem- ingly endless amount of cash that is tied up on senior necessities: an- nouncements, food, prom, food, mem- ory books, food, and yearbooks. The straw that finally breaks the camel’s back is the bill for senior pictures and for the lights parents break when they hit the ceiling.
