In the beginning of the nineteen hundred and fifty-fifth year of our Lord, there entered this land of learning eleven seekers of knowledge who were: Johnny Beck, Diana Branting, Norman Branting, Jimmy Bialas, Jim Boroviak, Reda Cook, Vickie Cox, Tony Douglas, Darrell Van Meter, Jack Sweet, and Matt Shonsey. These seekers of knowledge were led into this country by a woman of much skill who was called Mrs. Sherrill. Now it came to pass soon after they entered this land, that three of the group of wisdom left to seek different learnings, they were: Norman Branting, Johnny Beck, and Darell Van Meter. These entered at this time a new woman of knowledge whose name was Mrs. Baird. This wise and noble leader remained beside them until their third year. Also during the first year they gained, Gladys Hudson and Irene Brunken. And to join the group in the second year came, Betty Herman and Judy Ostrander. Their hearts saddened as they lost Vickie Cox. Now it so happened, that once again they were to meet a new teacher whom they would call Mrs. Anderson. And at the same time, from a farther land, came 3 new workers: Shannon Beck, Renae Dexter, and Dennis Van Pelt to join them in their new establishment of which in they were allowed one year's learning. As the class did journey through the land, behold another new leader guided them, her name. Miss Randall, and once again there came two more seekers who went by the names of Raymond Zelasney and Dennis McLean. Joys were again lessened when Gladys Hudson left for greener pastures. Miss Zoucha, a wise and understanding leader helped them attain knowledge the fifth year, and Mrs. Strick- land their sixth. Gladness prevailed over the class during these two years with the joining of 4 more: Jim Clark, Jim Glasgow, Vernetta Peck, and Jay Wemhoff. A woman called Mrs. Stott was the guide for their seventh year. Not long, a visitor, Vernetta Peck was lost. And it came to pass, a man of great learning that went by the name of Mr. Cash, led them through their final year of lower education. A seeker of truth, Carolyn Wells, became one of them. Now it so happened, at the beginning to the next year they organized themselves into a class of which was called Freshman. Some came from the eighth grade, where they had been engaged in filling their minds with the honey of wisdom, some came from rural schools, where they had been tillers of the soil, and some were from other halls of instructions. They lost one at the end of their Freshman year: Carolyn Wells. They gained Joyce Bialas, Joyce Hannappel, Alex Kufeldt, Sandra Soil, Phyllis Urkoski, and Leo Ziemba. And also it came to happen the class feeling themselves most brave, chose their colors the gold of royalty and white of purity. A verse was chosen by them to last and be theirs from this day on, and so The Winner Never Quits, and The Quitter Never Wins. Being this class did love beauty, they chose a most fragrant flower, the peony, as their sign of loveliness. The leader of the class at this time was called Mr. Eigsty. But sorrow did soon fill their hearts as Phyllis Urkoski de- parted from the group. As time came to pass on the tenth year, this class, now called Sophomores, received to them a new leader whom they referred to as Mr. Hoffman. Diana Branting was lost, and Phil Sutko joined their caravan. Now on the twenty-eighth day of August, this group would once again enter their establishment of learning. And once again, new supervisors would rule over them. They came to call them Mr. Lanik and Mr. Augilar. Now, in the beginning of the year, the group did send messages over all the land, east, west, north, and south to all the inhabitants thereof saying: Come ye and have great tidings to joy with us! and as they were bidden, so came they to Antics of Andrew their class play. Don Voichoskie joined the seekers this year. To show esteem for their elders, the Seniors of 1966, they honored them with the Junior-Senior Banquet, surrounding them with beauty and music on Paradise Isle. Mrs. Banks and Mr. Jones became leaders unto the class as entered they their Senior year. Once again messages were sent across the land, and once again those bidden did come to Mumbo Jumbo where members took upon themselves to play another one's life. Again those youthful hearts were saddened by the leaving of Shannon Beck and Raymond Zelasney. Last as time past, these seekers of knowledge, for 12 years were to be rewarded by a trip to a land faraway called Colorado in which they would spend 3 days of enjoyment. And now may the Class of '67 bid you farewell. May your future records be as worthy as those of the past, and your achievements be as your hopes. 16 Darcey Butts Jerry Dittmer Rosetta Branting Marianne Brunken Tom Bittinger Doug Bolen Bob Douglas Chuck Fleeman Kathy Hays Ron Herman Shirley Heule Kathy Kingma Tom Kohl Phil Kufeldt Carol Kula Nona Morgan Dave Morris Janet Strobel Allan Urkoski Diane Van Pelt Pat Wemhoff Judy Wieseman Albin Ziemba Doris Zlomke Junior Class Class Colors . . and White Class Flower. .
