Kohl SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY-1966 It is 20 years after the graduation of the Class of ”66”, They have all settled down and forgotten their high school tricks. Theyfve awaited this day to meet in Clarks, They’re all bright and happy and as gay as larks. A telegram we just have received, Stating a fact you won’t believe. It is about our own Dean Beck, Seems he is still at the Great Lakes swabbing decks. Polly Branting stylist of hair, Now demonstrates her styles at each World Fair. She took after her mother who did quite well. And she certainly has lots of products to sell. There she stands! Miss Business School, Janis Church is her name, the pad and pencil are her tools. Dictation is her speciality. But leading a gay and carefree life is her main ability. This wide eyed girl is Miss Connie Cook, She’s famous for her new Children’s Book. She has to write more than anyone knows. It’s true she’s kept very busy and up on her toes. Here comes Darryl Didler so handsome and tall. His radiant smile keeps the girls embarrassed one and all. But Darryl has decided to remain single all his life, Girls are a nuisance and he has no time for a wife. Donnie Dush is forever increasing his speed, Sharp cars and spinners are his only need. He is now employed in the Pentagon, Where time passes and life goes on. Our gracious Bev. Fairbairn has just strolled in, Looking pert, cute, and very feminine. She now has a degree. On the famed subject of child psychology. Cindy Swedenburg and Linda Ferguson, always the best of pals, Are known all over as Hoochi Koochi gals. They travel by plane from land to land, Teaching other dancers how to tell stories with their hands. Who’s the cool young man with all the chicks ? Why it’s Mike Ferguson, known as ’’Agent Double 0-6”. He has been around the world in his private space coupe, Since the last time he was seen with the high school group. Pat Gonsior, that popular young miss. Was really a swinger in ”66.” She's now married and has 6 kids, They all have red-hair and pretty eye lids. Pat Hansher is now one of Clarks famous models. All spectators she keeps in her spell. She travels .from here to Paris, France, Keeping the young and the old all in a trance. Our own Peggy Herman looks happy and gay, Every since her wedding day. Mrs. Bill Booth is now her name, With happiness ahead as her only aim. Kay Kennedy now a nurse, Has plenty of money to keep in her purse. She’s known all over for her famous new drugs. That help aid doctors In the killing of bugs. Paulette Kohl, who has made hair styling her career. Has opened a shop of her own this year. She has become famous In all the papers you read. Her out-of-space hairdo Is what the women need. Our star discus thrower Dick Kohl has just arrived, Looking sharp, cool and real alive. An Olympic Winner, he has been, For his trophies now total a hundred and ten. Arnold Kula Is shop teacher at the Chapman High School, Teaching the boys how to handle all the tools. Each day he lays down the law, On how to handle the saw. Dana Little despite his name, Has grown very big In his fame. He’s the tops In his craft as we all know. He’s now the producer of his own picture show. This eveningfs newspaper has brought us great news. That Mary Prososki is now taking interviews. The want ads stated that she is the instructor of a dancing school; In the great city of Liverpool. Marilyn Randall, who was President of our game, Is now well known In the Hall of Fame. She still is President and gets all the dates, You see, Marilyn now heads the United States. Here comes a cool character by the name of Mike Riggs, He’s now known for his new dance jiggs. He’s known all from coast to coast. As we all know he’s got something to boast. Mike Shonsey, known as Mick, Has captured himself a very cute chick. He’ll soon be Invited to the parties of fame, You see his girls Dad Is the head of Wayne. Alberta Stromberg who always wanted a man, Now works as a geisha girl in land of Japan. She works and works all the day long, And she is always ready with a bright, happy song. Who’s this cool lad with the real cool beat, Why it’s that trouble-maker Mr. Eddie Sweet. He’s a famous football star of all around, Every university tries to track him down. Janet Wemhoff, known as the brain, Has rated high in her future fame. She’s top engineer of all around, She has Invented a train that runs above ground. Here comes Dave Zegar looking his best. All full of vitality and zest. Who would ever guess he had been on an African tour. And caught a lion with a sabor tooth lure. Leonard Zelazney has just strolled in, Looking ever so masculine. For now he does all the ads. Advertising all the Burma Shave fads. 17 SENIOR CLASS HISTORY A small whistle was heard in the distance, and the little train called the Bomber Special was pulling out of the station with 18 passengers aboard. They were Dale Dohse, Bonnie Tierney, Patricia Bowers, Norma Cahill, Peggy Bolen, Linda Chapin, Darryl Didier, Pauline Brantlng, Patty Hansher, Vicki Spires, Connie Cook, Carol Zabava, Janis Church, Michael Shonsey, Larry Chapin, Gregory Burger, Donna Barnes, and Celinda Swedenburg. Mrs. Muriel Anderson taught us for two years. Mrs. Robert Baird took over as conductor in the first grade. We stopped to pick up Douglas Hudson, Alberta Stromberg, Junior Cuba, and DerilynBeck. Bonnie Tierney, Patricia Bowers, Linda Chapin, Carol Zabava, and Larry Chapin hopped off at different junctions on our way up the ladder of life. In second grade Marilyn Randall and David Zegar joined us, and Gregory Burger left us that year. The third grade brought us Margaret Herman, Leonard Zelasney, and Lynda Van Ostrand. We were sorry to lose Junior Cuba that year. Mrs. Muriel Anderson again taught us. Miss Lois Randall came into superiority in our fourth year. Dwayne Rice, Richard Kohl, Mary Ann Prososki, Eddie Sweet, Dana Little, and Paulette Kohl hopped on the Bomber Special to join us. Vicki Spires left us that same year. Chugging down the tracks in our fifth year, we gained Janet Wemhoff, Emilie Fergin, and Kathleen Kennedy, and lost Douglas Hudson. Miss Marie Zoucha taught. During the sixth grade, Mrs. Robert Strickland was our engineer. We were sorry to lose Leonard Zelasney that year. Mrs. Iva Stott brought us along our way in the seventh grade. We gained Mike Ferguson and Donnie Dush. Lynda Van Ostrand left us at the Polk junction. The Bomber Special was still going strong in our eighth year with Mrs. Caroline Craig serving as engineer. Arnold Kula, Chellah Weber, and Linda Ferguson became new passengers. Norma Cahill and Dwayne Rice stopped for greener pastures. High school years had finally begun for us in 1962. Beverly Fairbairn and Leonard Zelasney joined us; while at the same time we lost Peggy Bolen, who went to Omaha. Turquoise and white became our class colors; our flower, the white carnation; and our motto, Within Ourselves Lies Our Future. Beverly Fairbairn was President; Arnold Kula, Vice-President; and Margaret Herman, Secretary-Treasurer. We were happy to have Mr. Larry Crosley as sponsor for two years. The tenth grade saw the Bomber Special slowing down a bit to pick up LeAnn Meinecke, who came from Central City. We lost Chellah Weber that same year. Arnold Kula was President; Dana Little, Vice-President; and Celinda Swedenburg, Secretary-Treasurer. Our little train was really a bevy of excitement in our junior year. Emilie Fergin left us that year to find greener pastures, and Pat Gonsior hopped on at the Osceola junction to join our merry little group. We received our class rings from Jostens that year. We presented Boarding House Reach as our class play, which was very successful. Rendezvous of the Stars was our theme for our prom honoring the Seniors. It was a beautiful evening to be remembered always. Mr. James Eckerberg was our sponsor. Cindy Swedenburg was President; Marilyn Randall, Vice-President, and Margaret Herman, Secretary-Treasurer. Now there are 27 students ready to depart from the Bomber Special for the very last time. Mr. John Jones and Mrs. Marie Banks have conducted us in this year. We gained Mike Riggs from Idaho, but lost Donna Barnes, Dale Dohse, and LeAnn Meinecke. Mike Riggs was President; Paulette Kohl, Vice-President; and Pat Gonsior, Secretary-Treasurer. We had our Senior Class pictures taken at Lumbard-Leehinshy's in Grand Island. At Christmas we presented A Christmas for a Duchess. We ordered our announcements from Herf Jones. Finders Creepers was the name of our class play. On April 28, the Seniors left by Greyhound on a weekend tour of Colorado Springs for Sneak Day. On May 18, diplomas were handed out to the passengers of the Bomber Special , who left It for the very last time.
