The staff, in preparing this book, would like to leave with you pleasant memories of the school year. The beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia has been chosen as the theme for this edition of THE TALON. On the inside cover is a color photograph of the entrance to one of our local estates taken by Mr. William Rhoden, Ir. Situated in the midst of the Blue Ridge Mountains on her east and the Appalachian Mountains on her west, the Shenandoah Valley is one of the most beautiful and historic natural wonders of our beloved state of Virginia and of this entire nation. Well-known for her many apple orchids, that are so breathtakingly lovely when in full bloom in the spring, her dogwood trees and redbud trees, the Shenandoah Valley sees many tourists who come hundreds of miles to see her splendor. We will not forget. . .
