OCTOBER 14 — Holiday for teachers’ meeting. 21 — Holiday for teachers’ meeting. 25 — First Report Cards— What! That already? 28 — Hallowe ' en Party. NOVEMBER 3— Mr. Lemley came to take pictures — the birdie hasn’t changed noticeably since last year. 10 — Mr. Rhoden began taking the ' Seniors’ pictures. 18— Football game. 23 — The annual was named. 23 — School let out for Thanksgiving. 28 — Back again. DECEMBER 9 — Report cards — Not again? 12 — First basketballl game — Clarke beat Hedgesville 30-12. 21 — The Dramatics Club sponsored a Christmas program. 21 — Christmas formal. No More School This Year!!! JANUARY 3 — Back to school. 12 — Career Day. 25, 26, 27 — Exams — No Comment necessary — Nice holiday for those with exemptions. FEBRUARY 1 — Repor cards— I’m going to study harder this term. 9 — Pep Rally. 15 — Dorothy Fishpaw won the County Public Speaking Contest on “Opportunities for Young People on Virginia Farms”. 16 — Caree Day. 17 — Skirt and Sweater dance. 23 — Dorothy Fishpaw won the District contest at Handley Library. 24— Clarke County won the District L Basketball Championship. MARCH 3,4 — Clarke County went to the Regional Basketball Tournament at Harrisonburg. 7 — Dorothy Fishpaw went to the State contest at Le xington. 10 — Band concert. 14 — Elimination contests were held for members of the Literary Team. 15 — Clarke County’s Dramatics Club won the District Literary Contest at Handley Library. 15 — Report Cards. 16 — F. F. A. Father and Son Banquet. 23 — Career Day. 24 — Seniors’ Trip to Washington, D. C. 30, 31 — Senior Play.
