Remember When Marla Schrougharn and Phyllis Shepherd got sent to the office three days straight ? David Wilson and John Robards wiped paint in the rain? We used to test paper airplanes in general business ? Mrs. Crawford pulled Ann Magi1l's hair ? Lee Oliver used to scoot up and down the aisle in a certain class ? Wayne Wilson's bus broke down on the way back from Cincinnati and we sat for hours in the dark snowy night--cold and hungry? We cleaned so many chicken houses on our junior class paper drive? We sold ad's and got such a variety of excuses ? Phillip Hutdiinson made seven trips in one year from our history and English class ? Marla Schrougham did the dance to the tambourines ? Marilyn Davis hurt her finger every day in general business and had to have it bandaged ? Marshal Plummer pronounced .Tbb J5b? John Robards wore Charlie Ray's holey warm-up outfit in our junior convocation ? Lois McRae used the pressing sponge to wipe off the tables in home economics class ? Harriett Yarber, Phyllis Shepherd, and Nora Cobler didn't report to English class when there was a 4-H meeting ? Phyllis Shepherd and Marla Schrougham walked around the school building instead of going to English class ? ' Grandpa, John Robards, was our teacher when we made the lay out for this annual? what fun! We were freshmen in home economics and it was our fault when anything went wrong? We had to clean the typewriters for the 55 seniors ? Grrrrr ll 'I7

Class Memoirs As money making projects this year we decided to sell magazine subscriptions, stationery, and to sell cokes, popcorn, and ice cream at all home basketball games. Also we picked tomatoes for a seed house to help us toward our senior trip. On December 29, 1954, the class traveled to Cincimiati to see the new movie, Cinerama. The group was taken by one of the bus drivers. Upon entering into our senior year we find we have thirteen familiar faces. During our first week of school our class officers were elected to reign with Marla Schroug- ham as President: David Wilson as her assistantg Mary Donna Lawson again taking minutesg John Robards guarding our treasuryg and Marshall Plummer as delegate to the student counciL By the end of the first semester our annual was half done, our senior pictures were taken and returned. and our class trip was decided upon along with the juniors who went with us. We enjoyed the eight day trip taken to Philadelphia, Washington D. C., and New York City, and came home exhausted and more than pleased with no exams awaiting us. On May 7, 1956, with fond regrets and pleasant memories, we graduated from the rumbling and clattering halls of Clark High. This is a seventh grade photo of the present senior class.

Rocklane Daily Gazette-Ace Reporter . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Phillip Hutchinson While out gathering news the other day, I stopped at McRae's Restaurant to drink a cup of coffee and eat the famous Mc Rae Burger. When who should appear from the kitchen? None other than Lois McRae, an old classmate of minel She told me that today was the Tenth Anni- versary of the graduation class of 56. As we talked she told me what each of my ex-classmates was doing. Marshall Plummer is a leading actor of stage, screen, radio, and television and is now appearing in person at the local Frankcraft Theater. Lois tells me that he ls quite a Romeo around town and that he will never marry. This sounds quite typical of Marshall. Mary Eldridge Yount is a leading dress designer at Macy's store in New York. She designs many of the Hollywood actresses' clothes. She got her start in high school working as a sales girl in one of the leading clothing stores in Franklin. David Wilson has his own jazz band called Willy's Corn Pickers and is now playing at the Cow Palace in California. He also has a new record out called, My Corns Are Killing Me. I finished my coffee and was about to order an egg sandwich when in walked Mary Donna Lawson. She told me that she is a leading tooth paste saleslady. She sells a famous tooth paste called SANI -BRUSH. Her famous slogan is: Brush your teeth with SANI-BRUSH and you won't have no teeth to brush. Mary Donna tells me that Phyllis Shepherd is the wife of a minister. She nowhas seven children: two sets of twins and a set of triplets. She is thinking of starting a nursery. Mary Donna doesn't know if it is for her or the community. Marilyn Davis has been taking toe dancing lessons for the last ten years from Professor Horsiekoff, the famous Russian dancer. She can now stand alone on one toe. Ann Magill is now a famous Rattle Snake trainer in the Wasson-Piefers Circus which is touring Germany. At the present time Ann is laid up with a bad case of blood poisoning caused from stepping on a rusty nail. l John Robards is a Vet now operating in South America where he hmmg out his shingle last week. He went to South America, where fees were higher, to provide for his wife O'Feg- 1eef and their twelve children. John wrote to Lois just last month telling of Marla Schrougham and her adventures on the Isle of Capri where her Hula Girls' Showhouse is now playing. She became interested in modem dancing at school one day when she first performed the Dance to the Tamborines. Lois then recommended for a night's entertainment. the production of Madam F1utterfly featuring Harriett Yarber, at the Ermyville Operahouse. While Lois was telling me that Nora Cobler was modeling slacks and sweaters in a promi- nent fashion store in Alaska, I heard a loud noiseg and I rushed out in time to see the landing of the first Superscnic Jet-Atomic Ship from the Moon. 18
