Fzrst Team The Clark Llons started out the season wxth a three game wxnmng streak by defeatlng Trafalgar 26 46 galnlng the margm IH the last quarter Clark then defeated Umon the last year s county champs by a score of 49 41 Our next game we defeated the hard fxghtxng Nxneveh crew 34 32 We then suffered our fxrst defeat by the Whlteland Warrxors who outplayed the L.1ons to clmch the game by a score of 46 27 We then h1t the w1nn1ng column agaxn as we defeated Boggstown Panthers by a score of 43 32 The Flat Rock Redb1rds proved to be too much for the I..1ons by defeatmg them by a score of 36 35 wxth a last second foul shot The Clark Llons suffered the1r flrst defeat on the1r home floor when the Beech Grove Hornets held the Clark qulntet to 38 pomts whxle they collected 52 The hard flghtlhg Clark squad were unable to catch up w1th the Center Grove Trojans as they h1t the net for 56 pomts to Clarks 50 Mount Auburn qumtet outscored the Lxons to wm the game 49 to 33 Clark unable to get back 1nto the wxnrung colurnn was defeated by the Edmburg Maroons w1th a score of 57 50 After the hol1days the Clark Lxons lost a heart breaker to the Greenwood W oodmen 1n an overtlme t1lt by a score of 53 52 Clark Lxons and the Whlteland Warrxors were the fxrst teams to play xn the Coun ty Tournament as the Lmons fell short of the undefeated WHFTIOFS to lose the game wxth a score of Z5 42 Lxons fell short of County s runner up as Unxon hxt the net for 50 polnts to Clark s Clark was back lnto the w1nn1ng column the followlng week by defeatmg N1neveh Blue Bxrds 51 to 39 and the Trafalgar Redbxrds 59 37 The Clark Llons were then sturnped by Whlteland w1th a score of 59 41 The L1ons traveled down to F'a1rland to take on the Shelby County Champs and were holdmg a two pomt lead at the half but were on the short end when the funal buzzer went off leav1ng the score 58 43 For the last scheduled game the L.1ons fell short of the Moral Hawks as they found txme to connect for 52 poxnts to our 37 markers Clark w1ll open the Sect1onal Tournanfxent when they meet the Center Grove Trojans Thursday mght at seven o clock Z9 e n ' 9 . . , I I I ' 1 1 ' ' I ' .
