Grad Nite tradition, Homecoming sweep are senior highlights Sweeping all events during Homecoming week was just the beginning for the 1984 Senior Class. With funds earned from sponsoring Sadie Hawkins, the Hawaiian Dance, and Senior Ball, the seniors organized and funded the graduation ceremony with the theme ‘'Looks Like We Made It, the colors of black and gold, and the yellow rose as the class flower. Also, the graduating class sponsored the annual Christmas and taster parlies for Child Haven. A great deal of work organizing the children and making sure the program ran smoothly was involved in the planning of Child Haven parties. The annual senior trip on the weekend of May 18 was also sponsored by the Senior Class. For an evening in Disneyland, the seniors went first to a special “Blast Off party and then to Grad Nite. The next morning it was on to Knotts Berry Farm and, later, to Ports-O-Call for a two and one-half hour dinner cruise. Then, only the finale remained: graduation. Seniors 209
