JV girls’ basketball finishes tough year; Stiglic high scorer X his year’s JV girls’ basketball, headed by Coach Renee Brown, had a tough season with wins coming as a result of stamina, hard work, and long hours of practice. The year’s team was led by high scorer and re-bounder Diana Stiglic. The season’s strengths included high scoring games and excellence in shooting and rebounds. Coach Brown considered the team “very coachable and strong.’’ She continued, “They were a well-motivated, hard-working team who were eager to learn, and worked well together.” She noted proudly that the team had one of the highest grade point averages of all the teams city wide. The team had five freshmen, five sophomores, and one junior. “They were a young team, but this year they gained their much needed experience in fundamentals which will make them an outstanding team next year, said Coach Brown.
