Million Dollar Band plays with enthusiasm Under the direction of Mr. 'Villiom F. McMosley. the Million Dollor Marching Bond provided half-time enterroinment during oil home gomes. In preparation for their shows, the marching bond began practice early in August; when school storied they practiced two hours doily from 7 o.m. to 9 o.m. The marching bond olong with the drill team, toll flogs, ond short flogs executed o 45-minute concert during the onnuol Fiesto Bowl competition in Phoenix. Arizona, during the week of December 11. Bondsmen also mode numerous oppeoronces of conventions ond special events in the community throughout the yeor. among them the Sonds Hotel re-opening celebration in Jonuory. The end of the marching season brought o shift in emphosis for the group os members prepared for concert ond participation in the onnuol Clork County Music Festival. 1981-82 Toll Flogs march with accuracy, help ro support band Mony early morning marches with the Million Dollar Bond helped ro prepore the 1981-1982 Toll Flogs for their performances. The 14-member squod. with three veteran members, was led by captain Sonio Jordon ond co-captain Nickie Dovis. The squod attended comp in Long Beach, California. lost summer. They accompanied the bond on mony competition trips. On October 31. they traveled to Ontario. Californio, ond olong with the band received a superior trophy in the Choffey Tournament of Bands.
