In addition, sroff members sold the advertising needed to provide the book s financial support. There were three mojor deadlines to meet. For eoch deadline — December. January, ond Morch — one-third of the book had to be completed. Excluding the portroits. the three staff photographers took most of the pictures in the book; they shot ond printed the hundreds of pictures that went through the dorkroom.
