The purpose of this progrom is to ollow other countries to experience Americon culture, educotion. ond woy of life. The visiting students were Rogelio Cuellor from Bolivio. Cloudio Gorruti from Brozil, Tomos Janson from Sweden. Dovid Moyes from England. Hiroko Nishimuro from Jopon. Sori Wiksrrom from Finland, ond Poisol Wipowin from Thailand. Dovid Moyes wos the only junior: the resr were seniors. The students were sponsored by Americon Field Service, World Experience. Rotory Internorionol. Youth Exchonge Service, ond Youth for Understanding. They lived with Los Vegos fomilies. most of whom hod students ortending Clark. Nine juniors hod the honor of representing Clork or Nevado Boys’ ond Girls’ State in June of 1961. The onnuol workshops in state ond locol government, sponsored by the Americon Legion ond Legion Auxiliary, drew students from throughout the state.
