Clark students earn honors, scholarships Many Clark seniors earned honors as well os various scholarships for their acodemic ond extracurricular activities. School winners were chosen for various student competitions including Century III. Soroptimisr. Senote Youth Leadership. Gemco, Sun Youth Forum. DAR Good Citizen, ond NMSQT. Jennifer Fronk wos chosen os the school winner for both the Century III ond Soroptimist competitions. In both she was judged on her extracurricular activities ond her ability to write o concise, relevont essoy. Joanna Kishner represented Clark in the Senate Youth Leadership Program. She wos also judged on her extracurricular involvements and her writing ability. The school's Gemco representatives were Randy Colquitt ond Joanna Kishner. They were judged on their ability to respond intelligently to one current event question. Randy Colquitt and Artis Williams were selected os finalists at the annual Sun Youth Forum. As finalists, both winners wrote summaries of their group for the Las Vegas Sun newspaper. Karen Goodall became Clork’s DAR Good Citizen after writing on essay ond being evaluated on academic ond extracurricular activities. Brett Roehr became Clork's entry in the Voice of Democracy speech contest. Michelle Miller wos the only 1962 Clork senior to be nomed a Notional Merit Scholarship semi-finalist. She earned the honor by obtaining superior scores on the PSAT exam. 58 Honors
