Academic offerings provide varied levels of classroom learning As the first group to foce the reality of minimum competency os o requirement for graduation, the Closs of 1982 found varied levels of instruction ovoiloble in academic courses. To fulfill the reading ond writing requirements, the English Deportment offered instruction which stressed bosic skills; however, other courses provided challenges for the most serious college-bound student. Likewise, the Moth Deportment's curriculum ranged from intensive, competency-bosed closses to Analysis ond Computer Moth. While nor yet directly involved with proficiency testing, other deportments — Social Studies.
