sas Cavalcade demands diligence, imagination This year the Cavalcade staff was larger than usual. There were thirty-one students in the room, making compatability essential. They were divided into groups, each of which were assigned different sections of the yearbook. After the groups were formed, each member was responsible for several pages to complete. Next, the layouts were drawn, pictures selected, and copy written. Outside work was needed when deadlines had to be met. In December, a third of the book had to be completed to meet the first deadline. The other two deadlines occurred in January and March. The seven photographers were another major part of the yearbook staff. These individuals were responsible for shooting, developing, and printing the hundreds of pictures in the yearbook except for the portraits. Cavalcade. Front row: Mark Snyder. Dene Curtright. 74 Leadership, ability become integral part of Executive Council Providing a strong government for the school was the major goal of the Executive Council this year. Headed by Rob Ropell and advised by Mrs. Jo Peterson, the council was responsible for several major activities. The Homecoming Dance, coronation and flower sale were main projects in October. The Executive Council, comprised of the nine elected members, the president of each class, the two presidents of the Student Senate and a hard-working, appointed secretary, was also in charge of chairing the Homecoming Committee.
