School Services help in very special ways Many special services work year round, behind the scenes, to make school life more productive and pleasurable for all people involved. The Counseling Department not only aids students in evaluating credits, developing future plans, and helping students with registration, but also with personal problems as well. The library and audio-visual service provides books, films, magazines, videotapes, and newspapers all wrapped up in peaceful surroundings for the students' convenience and education. The cafeteria staff works throughout the year serving 1,000 students breakfast and lunch daily. The Federal Government regulations, which prohibited the sale of soft drinks, resulted in a decrease of 100 students served this year, although Mrs. Shirley Winslow. cafeteria manager, also felt the increase in prices also contributed to the decline. The custodians work various shifts to keep the 40-acre grounds, which include the 7lA-acre school, in tip-top shape. Computer controlled thermostats resulted in uneven temperatures throughout Clark High, as the school district attempted to meet Federal guidelines for energy usage. 200 School Services
