Impressive offense leads JV to victory This year's junior varsity football team had an outstanding season, finishing up with an 8-1 record and second place in zone. Led by quarterback Danny Gracia, this year's offense was impressive. With runningbacks Mark Dudenake and Greg Peeples. Clark had a very strong running game. Starting receivers Warren Karosa. Paul Thomas, and Mike Skurow made Clark's passing game complement the running game by always presenting the threat of an aerial assault. The holes opened up for the running game and the time given to the quarterback were created by the offensive line: Kevin Spencer (C). Steve Gresh (RT). Darrin Calaway (LT). Kent Donithan (RG), and John Murphy (LG). The JV s hard-hitting defense was another reason for their success. The defense was able to stop the opponent from gaining substantial yardage, thus enabling the offense to receive the ball in good field position. The defense included linemen Phillip Klein-peter (LT). Eddie Borelli (NG). and Ed Custard (RT): linebackers Kent Donithan and Kevin Spencer: cor-nerbacks Pat Sullivan (RC) and Vance Hutchinson (LC): safeties Gary Gunny (LS) and Danny Gracia (RS). The players attributed their success to Jim Massey and Dusty Satterfield. Very seldom in life does the opportunity arise to associate with and coach the quality of individuals that this year's JV team had: to them I tip my hat. Their dedication, determination, and intensity through many long hours of hard and often painful work allowed them to achieve a goal that many only dream about. My sincere thanks and best wishes go with all these young men. said Coach Satterfield. houghtfully onto tho fiold. Torry Paul tatos a moment of rest. 2.
