20 Mrs. Mary A. Ware Mrs. Mary A. Ware. Associate Dean of Student Development, deois with the housing and personal well-being of all students. If there are disciplinary pro- blems in the residence halls, Mrs. Wore handles them, often making referrals to the Counseling Center. She also coor- dinates the 'Big Sister program in the freshmen Dormitories. THE DEANS l?lhe Deans of Clark College are striving diligently daily to moin- rain on equilibrium between the students. faculty, and administra- tion. Each Dean has specific areas that need careful concentration. Without these dedicated people, the student's ocedernic instruction, and development would be Unfuifiiled. Mr. Curtis Gillespie, Dean of Students, administration. He favors personal con- tact with the students who have pro- blems. and acts as on ex-of-ficio member of the Student Government Association, The HigherJudiciory Council, and all chartered organizations on com- pus. He works closely with the organiza- rions to coordinate programs throughout the year. the most important being the United Negro College Fund Campaign Dr. Winfred Harris. Dean of Faculty and Instruction. acts as a liaison bet- ween the students and the focuityi Pro- blems that arise dealing with grades or curriculum are handled by Dean Hottis. acts as o lioson between students cmd' Dr. Winfred Harris Mrs. Betty McNair, Associate Dean of Faculty and Instruction, and her staff work closely with the freshman class in the cluster system to insure adjustment into college academic iife. Deon McNoir end the staff of the Division of General Education also prepare semester progress reports which assist the students in declaring major concentrations.
