It is dedicated to pronnoting scholarly and recreational activities for members interested in the Biological Sciences. Society The American Chemical Society is a national organization of Chemists. The Student Affiliate Chapter is a part of the American Chemical Society dedicated to giving intellectual stimulation and encouragement to its members - which may or may not be chemistry majors - in approximately 800 colleges in the United States and Canada. The Clarion Student Affiliate Chapter is a very active chapter sponsoring various academic and social activities such as seminars by industrial and research chemists; tours of educational, research, and industrial chemical facilities; picnics; and other social events The Chapter also sponsors an annual Chemistry Department Open House, in which chemistry students from area high schools tour the chemistry department at Clarion.
