In the fall of 47 , 75 young aviators en- tered C-L and started the first lap of their seem- ingly long flight through High School. As all good squadrons need Commanding Officers, we elected ours as follows: President ,.,, ,. Trueman Mills Vice-President . Carter Bigley Secretary . A A Emogene Brocious Treasurer , Margie Mohney At the beginning of our second year, as we were now Silly Sophomores, we were initiated by our Superiors. We started that eventful day with our hearts in our throats and before the end of the day we were fully convinced every- one's hand was against us. After it was over, we realized it wasn't such a disaster and that our upper-classmen were really good neighbors after all. We again elected our Officers in Command for the year. They were: President ,,,,,., . . Trueman Mills Vice-President , Doris Wheeler Secretary ,.,. ,, . Marilyn Avery Treasurer ,..,. ..., . , , ,. Bob Wiant The main event that year was the ever to be remembered Junior Prom. Our Queen was sms gm Jaw Evonne Graybill with Trueman Mills as King. We bought rings, published the school newspaper, and sponsored a square dance. The next year we started the last lap of our flight with out destination in sight. Officers dur- ing that final lap were: President , .,,..,.,..,. Kenneth Miller Vice-President . ,.., Trueman Mills Secretary ...... . .. . Doris Wheeler Treasurer ,... .. ..,. Jim Peer We found the going toward the end of our flight at times rather rough and stormy but we came out on top. Our Class Play was a Comedy, We Shook the Family Tree. On our Senior trip we went to Washington, D. C. Then came graduation! We had reached our destination and our long flight was over. The reward and satisfaction of a iob well done made the moment a happy one. As we leave this school we remember a flight filled with pleasant memories while we look ahead to the sun rising on a new and glor- ious flight. 26
