1 2 Uwz, Kumi of fdurahbn, 4 fy al Strattanville Borough and Millcreek Town- ships School Districts have recently become a part of the Clarion-Limestone Organization. This for- ward step is in line with recent state trends and the boards concerned are to be congratulated for their efforts toward further improvements of educational services to be made available in cur attendance area. We at Clarion-Limestone are glad to ioin with and welcome Strattanville Borough and Millcreek Township as a part of our school. I am certain that it will be our mutual aim and inten- tion to work together for the greatest possible service to each and all. The general trend of public education is toward larger school units in order that a more diversified program can be offered. It is hoped that this type of program will better serve a greater range of student interests and abilities. The state also favors the larger unit and gives much greater financial aid to those districts that try to conform to the new trends. Sometimes I think that the average person who has not had direct experience doesn't real- ize the vast responsibilities and the great amount of time and effort which the members of our school boards must devote to the problems of education in order to keep abreast of the new trends and changes as they altect our total school situation. We have been fortunate in our com- munities to have such a fine representation of our good citizens willing to give of their time and best efforts to help chart our educational pro- gram and keep it progressive. I feel certain that I can speak for the patrons and students of our school in thanking our board members for their efforts in behalf of a better educational program for all. M. M. Collett .FK sq.
