mrs, Mrs. Arner, Dieli Fleming. Mrs. Corbett, Mary Ann Taylor, Mr. Riley. Sophomore Class Histor NVe, the Class of 519, started the first of our four years in high school as green but eager Freshmen. NVe will never forget our initiation on October l0, 1945. which made us full Hedged members of the high school group of Clarion-l.ime- stone. NVe had manv activities which totaled the amount of our class treasury to 95200. As the term drew to an end we looked forward to our next year of school as Sophomores. At the opening of the new term we had a total of 73 students, manv of whom were new and they are now adding to the success of the Sophomore Class. NVe had our first class meeting on September 25, 1946 and elected our class officers, who would represent us in the new term. Those chosen were: President -Erma Swyers, Vice President-Dick Fleming, Secretary-Marv Ann Taylor. and Treasurer-John Love. Our activities for the year have included a aSadie Hawkins Dav Dancef' which we will never forget, and the sponsoring of 'iBlack Beautyfl NVe also hope to have a skating party soon. NVe are quite satisfied with the success of these activities, which was brought about bv our class members and the help of our teachers, Mrs. Corbett. Nirs. Arner. and Mr. Riley. Our class members are well represented in school affairs. Nlany of whom are participating in band, orchestra. basketball. cheerleaders and girls and boys chorus.
