fam Maier? Ween We Wkeze freeze Wawfimefe A great day was the day we entered the portals of Clarion-Limestone as the greenest Class of Freshmen our upperclassmen had ever witnessed for some time. Mr. Stahlman and Mr. Blank, as home room supervisors, pointedly reminded us that study halls were not to be wasted. Initiation day!!! This is a memory that will always be pleasant! Somehow going to classes with our books in milk-pails caused quite an excitement and also a little confusion. After everyone became acquainted we held our first class meeting. The officers chosen to direct our business matters were as follows: President ........ loanne Minich Vice President .... Rosetta Elder Secretary . . . Mary Iane Showers Treasurer .......... Earl Carter Our first skating party which was at Clar- ion Rink was a success although a few of us returned to school the next day with a few bruises and greater wisdom from our experi- ences. This helped us to become more grown up or serious minded and gave us a quiet cour- age to meet the pitfalls of the coming year. WWGVL We Wefze Silly Scfpfremcvzeft As a proud group, fewer in number, we willingly accepted the responsibility of initia- ting the Freshman Class who followed us. Our first class meeting was held under the supervision of our home room teachers, Mr. Carl Blank and Miss Pauline Naugle. The class officers elected were: President ...... Maxine Hindman Vice President . .. Ioanne Minich Secretary ........ Donna Aaron Treasurer .. Delores McGregor When We Wwe After we were comfortably seated in the home rooms of our new teachers, Miss McMann and Miss Zigarella, we discovered our class was again decreased in number to 43. A class- mate, Wilmer Champion, was drafted and entered the Navy several months after school was under way. Our elected class officers were: President ........ Ioanne Minich Vice President .... Grant Minich Secretary ......... Rosetta Elder Treasurer ...... Richard Heasley Our class exhibited their salesmanship ability when our fund from the magazine con- test exceeded all others. Of course our school terms are never complete without skating par- ties and the Christmas Dance sponsored by our class was the highlight of our winter fun. Spring found us energetically planning the Iunior-Senior Prom which was held on May 18, With the changing of semesters came Mr. Graff to take the place of Mr. Blank who accepted a position with the Federal Govern- ment. When the elected treasurer moved away, Roberta Henry was chosen to that office. Our class funds were greatly increased as results of several skating parties. The last day of school found us bidding our friends good-bye and anticipating our well earned vacation. fee We 1944. King Cadmus Kerr and his attendants Grant Minich, Chester Minich, George Ray- buck, lack Reddinger, Ross Rankin, Rudolph Miller, Earl Reynolds, Richard Heasley, Robert Barnhart, and Edgar Shofestall, were received that night into the Queen's Bowery to witness Sarah Hamish, last year's Prom Queen, crown the new queen, Joanne Minich and to witness the appointment of the Maid of Honor, Rosetta Elder, and ten lovely maidens, Elsie Carrier, Maxine Hindman, Mary lane Showers, Iulu Iacox, lean Crate, Donna Aaron, Ioy Klouse, Leona Blachier, Roberta Henry, and Mary Louise Ganoe, to the Court. Blossom Time, as a decorative theme, gave an appropriate setting for the mellow music of Neal Buckley and his orchestra from DuBois. With sadness at the thought that next year would be our last session at C-L, we finished out the remaining days of our lunior year. C-L Pcmoramq -7 13.
