A Mathematics University of Minnesota, M. A. Biology Audio-Visual Aids Science is a required course for 7th and 8th graders but is offered as an elective in the 10th through l2th grades. Seventh and eighth-grade science is taught by Miss Huffman. Offered in high school are biology, chemistry, physics, health, and home nursing. Home nursing is taught by the school nurse, Mrs. Story. Biology and health are taught by Mr. Ebert, and chemistry and physics are taught by Mr. Smith. Mr. Ebert is also the Audio-visual di- rector for the Clarion Public School system. In addition to chemistry and physics, Mr. Smith also teaches geometry and advanced algebra. Clarion has a very well equipped laboratory for use by science students. These subjects are taught by Mr. Andrews and Mr. Simpson. Mr. Andrews is also the sponsor of the Lasso and Mr. Simpson is sponsor of the Ranch House Journal. Homemaking and agriculture are the two vocational courses offered. Closely related to these two courses are the activities of the F.H,A, and the F.F.A sponsored by Miss Henry and Mr. Townsend. Homemaking prepares girls for future domestic perfection while agriculture gives the boys an in- sight into farm life.Three yearsof Homemaking and four years of agriculture are offered to students in the ninth through twelfth grades. VJ Q PHYSICAL EDUCATION-SHOP x HELEN ISAKSON CHARLES RADECHEL I Waldorf Junior College University of Minnesota Mankato State, B, S, Winona State Teachers, B.A. Girls' Physical Education Jr. High Shop, Wrestling, Football Complete courses in mechanical drawing, welding, metal work, wood-working, and crafts are offered in CHS's well equipped shop. Mr. Hanson and Mr. Radechel teach these courses. Mr. Hanson is also the drivers' education instructor. Physical education is a required course for junior high students. A complete intramural'prograrn is offered to all junior and senior high students. Miss Isakson, ir1 addition to teaching girls' physical training, is sponsor of G.R.A.-Pep Club.
